Palin Tea Party Speech: Obama Policies To Be Short-Lived

02/ 6/10 09:35 PM ET   AP

Tea Party Palin

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Sarah Palin is predicting a good year for conservative candidates for public office, saying the policies of President Barack Obama and Democratic leaders in Congress will be short-lived.

The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee told the national "tea party" convention in Saturday that a string of recent Republican victories at the polls, including Scott Brown's longshot win in last month's special Senate election in Massachusetts, bodes well for conservative candidates this year.

She told the convention in Tennessee that if there's hope for the tea party movement in Massachusetts, there's hope everywhere.

The Obama administration has repeatedly argued that the nation's financial system was on the verge of collapse when Obama took office last year, and is now in the early stages of recovery.

Its so reassuring to know that she sees things the way most of us do and in three more years she will be in the position to implement them. However though she will inherit a huge deficit she will use our natural resources to create jobs and stop our dependence on other countries and since she will actually be helping our country she wont have to bash the administration before her.

With 'most of us' you mean yourself and your other schizophrenic personalities?

What's worse...

Sarah reading her crib notes from her HB (hillbilly) I-Palm at the Tea Party convention or Sarah answering her HB I-Phone on stage and pulling out an empty sardine can from her pocket with a string attached to it?

So if you're anti war, you're "anti american" "unpatriotic". But if you call for a revolution, that's patriotic? The silence from the right is deafening.

Okay, here's the deal: the overwhelming majority of the radical right base are what used to be Dixiecrats before they took over the Republican Party in the mid-1960s. If they aren't in the South, they're in the virtual South. Overthrowing the government was their 'patriotic' expression during the 1860s, and it still is. As far as most of them are concerned, they should have won the Civil War and, some day, they will. Waging war is what they're all about, and what they will always be about because they haven't yet won. That having been said, when the government is waging war, they pretend that it's their government because it just feels right to them. When it's not waging war, they hate the government.

Of course, there are other aspects to their delusions which are at play, like an obvious racism which they cannot admit, because they've learned since the 1960s that it's counterproductive to do so. But, in general, the goal is to destroy the federal government.

In Palin's specific case - and this is true for a small minority of the small minority who are the Teabaggers - there is a further incentive to preach the overthrow of the government. She's a Third Wave Dominionist who believes in the imminent end of the world and, indeed, feels a holy responsibility to assist in its end by waging wars against the devil worshiping non-believers.

I wish that people would talk about that last bit more.... about how Palin thinks she's some kind of major player in an apocalyptic, 'end of times' scenario (and she thinks Liberals are kooky...). People don't realize how dangerous that is. This is a self fulfilling prophesy. If she were somehow to be elected as POTUS, the world would not be a safe place.

Missed in the story is an even BIGGER story. Sarah wants a REVOLUTION! That's what she told the crowd. Greeeaaat... so she's inciting more homegrown terrorists like Timothy McVey. Thanks a lot Sarah. Think before you speak. No, we don't want domestic terrorism.

where's the outcry from the republican right?
08:56 AM on 02/10/2010
Why would they complain? They are a bunch of petty treasonous b@st@rds who whine endlessly simply because they lost the Presidency to a man who isn't "one of them". The hate America, democracy and the majority of US citizens

People, be afraid of Sarah Palin! She is a mother and not of 1.

She's a mother and mothers are tough. So if you are not a mother...continue on hoping for change for an easier welfare style of life.

If you are a mother, then keep on charging through the cacophony of whiners, dissers, complainers doomsdayers, curmudgeons, faultfinders and pinhead woman-haters.

You have my vote. Thank you for making me realize how WRONG I've been.

Sarah's speech last night consisted of nothing but Republican talking points, lies, and snide remarks about President Obama's education and charisma. It's ironic that she took a shot at President Obama about using a teleprompter when she had cliff notes written on her hand.

Sure, the idiots there who paid $500 to see her loved the speech but she offered no ideas, just sarcasm and criticism. Her policy ideas consisted of "we win, you lose" and "divine intervention". When asked what the Palin policy would be if she were President, she spat out some nonsense that I could not decipher.

The Winking Dolt addressed an adoring throng of 600.

There was a bigger crowd outside the B & W bakery in Hackensack this Sunday morning.

Exactly what policies does she mean will be "short lived"? What would she have done to ensure America didn't go into a depression? This woman gets away with so much because the MSM has to access to her. I would hope that her handlers wake up and smell the coffee because all of their reputations will be shot if this info comes out. She thinks she only needs common sense, and I guess a few handlers to whisper in her ear and let her know what's going on.

I for one don't want to live out my golden years in the hands of someone like her and the rest of her far right Republicans. I think that Americans are tired of hearing about her. We just went through an election one year ago, and the MSM started talking about who is expected to run in 12. People want to go on with their lives, and they don't need some backwoods hillbilly trying to push her agenda down their throats. We don't need another religeous fanatic in the White House. She better brush up on our Constitution, and one of her advisors better explain the separation of church and state. I can't belived she said she wanted to bring religeon into our federal government.

..."As a God-fearing nation.....we need to seek "Divine Intervention"????" Does that mean her cabinet will consist of the Holy Trinity???? Scary, scary, scary woman.

I would like to know from all the Constitutional Scholar TEABAGGERS just exactly WHERE does it say America is a god-fearing nation?

Snowbilly Grifter - Divine Intervention - we sure need that now to get rid of this FRAUD.

McCain is not a Tea Bagger. Palin is supporting McCain and will even stump for him. And yet, the Tea Baggers pay Palin $100,000 for a speech??? Further proof that Tea Baggers are stupid.
