Warren Sapp Domestic Violence Case: Police Question Former Lineman

(AP) MIAMI BEACH, Fla. — Former NFL star Warren Sapp is being questioned by Miami Beach police for an alleged domestic battery incident.

Police spokesman Juan Sanchez says Sapp was brought in Saturday afternoon and detectives are still interviewing him.

Sanchez says the 37-year-old Sapp has not been arrested. Details of the allegations haven't been released.

Sapp, a former defensive tackle, played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Oakland Raiders during his NFL career. He is currently an analyst for the NFL Network.

A message left with a network spokesman was not immediately returned.

The New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts meet for the Super Bowl in South Florida on Sunday.
