John Wall is having a terrific year at Kentucky. The freshman guard is widely considered to be the top candidate to be picked first in the 2010 NBA draft. Which is why it is all the more unfortunate that his school name was misspelled on his jersey in a photo shoot for Slam Magazine.

According to Alan Cutler at Lex18.com, the mistake was discovered before the shoot finished, so the final pictures should be spelled properly even without the use of Photoshop. Still, coach John Calipari reportedly wanted to try an experiment:

UK wanted to have some fun with True Blue fans, so Cal, on his birthday, via Twitter, sent out the picture. They wanted to see how long it would take for fans to notice the spelling mistake. UK was quickly slammed by e-mails pointing it out.

Indeed, Calipari later tweeted that "we were wondering would you guys notice the Wall jersey. UK fans don't miss anything! Of course, we switched to correct version later." Scroll down for the photo, via Brooks, who discovered a precedent for the typo.
