The Bidens' Love Story: Jill & Joe Talk Policy Fights, Lunch & Political Marriages On GMA (VIDEO)

'Good Morning America''s Juju Chang sat down with the Bidens at the Naval Observatory to discuss their 35-year marriage. The couple, who are known for their frequent PDA and proclamations of love, talked about how Jill came into the family's life, the secrets to a successful marriage, and how Joe just can't stay away from his wife.

Chang: It's known among your staff that they literally can't tell the vice president when Jill is around campus because he gets so distracted and so excited.

Vice President Biden: [Laughing] I'm embarrassed that it's so obvious to everybody. But I drive her nuts because she needs some space, but when she's in I say "Why don't we have lunch with her?" And they say, "No, she has something to do." So I say "Look, it's only across the street, why can't I go eat my soup over there?"

Jill Biden: And my staff says "He's coming over again." I'm blessed to have a husband who loves me so much.

Joe and Jill are a real love story and are great role models. I think Jill is just adorable and it's true that they just seem like really real people. Tragedies often make people see life differently and make them more compassionate. Joe found a real person in Jill. Love their story and don't want some Hollywood producer to degrade this at all. I hope a movie doesn't happen. May they always be genuinely happy.

Continued cuteness: just saw Joe and Jill Biden interviewed at the Olympics. The first time they were able to watch any Olympics in person. They were so honestly just happy to be there, and with their granddaughters, meeting U.S. athletes, having pictures taken with and by our athletes. They were so proud when the U.S. Olympic Team entered at the opening ceremonies, and the Vice President made a point of saying how the crowd appauded the team...all the time with a big smile.

I think Joe and Jill simply enjoy and appreciate life, especially in each others' company. More of us should enjoy life so honestly. Just too cute to watch.

Joe, you are about as cute as they come!

What a wonderful couple. Every instance I've seen Joe and Jill together, it has been obvious that they love each other without question, respect each other, and are true friends. 35 years and he still won't leave the house until she kisses him...even after a disagreement. I like that very very much.

And Joe Biden is the best vice president in our history, IMHO ;-)

My wife and I had the opportunity of shaking hands with both then Senator Biden and Jill Biden about 4 days before the election in Marion, Ohio. They were so electric as a couple and must have been so tired from the long campaign....but didn't show any fatigue but did show warmth and kindness.

I'm so proud of them and hope I can be half the husband the Vice President is to Mrs. Biden.

I had the pleasure of meeting the Bidens (quite briefly) while attending Sen Paul Wellstones swearing into office a few years ago. They were very nice and you could see that they loved each other.
