Snooki Reads Her First Book (POLL)

First Posted: 04/19/10 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 04:35 PM ET

Snooki, or Nicole Polizzi, a newly-famous star from the MTV series "Jersey Shore", has perhaps reached a new level in her dumb-girl persona. Earlier today, she tweeted that she is tackling her very first book -- Nicholas Sparks's "Dear John", which is the basis for the recently-released movie of the same title. Check out a photo of her tweet below.

Snooki, along with the other "Jersey Shore" cast members, are earning a reputation for their lack of intelligence -- watch a segment where they appear on the "Jay Leno Show" and are unable to answer simple trivia questions -- but we can't help but wonder if it's somewhat of an act. This can't possibly be her first book ever... Can it?

Quick Poll

Is this really Snooki's first book?

Yes, she really is that dumb.

No, this is all an act.

They're not exactly geniuses, but come on - she graduated from high school and is allegedly in community college. I find it extremely hard to believe that she hasn't read ONE book in her life.

This must be a mistake.

You sure you don't mean that she WAS booked (criminally)??

Or possibly that she placed a BET with her book (bookie)??

Or maybe she booked a vacation.

In any event, you can't be serious about her actually reading a book.

She can only read in text script and Modicon.

She thinks a Standard Dictionary, is an air conditioner for a "Standard's crotch"!

She thinks a Thesaurus was a Dinosaur with a cleft pallet.

It's plausible to me. Some people didn't grow up as literary snobs. There have been times in my life where there wasn't much beyond work, sports, and watching TV. If you had a nice social life with plenty of friends, you could probably go without choosing to read books for many years. What's the big deal?

The big deal is that you end up thinking it's not a big deal.

And then suddenly you live in a country where Wall Street is robbing you blind and your main concern is still who's going to win on American Idol of the Super Bowl.

And the two are quite related.

If this little gal had read more during her life, she might not have become a bimbo joke on a not so flattering reality show.

Yet more proof that only people in the middle of a revolution should be allowed to twitter.

Some would argue that "Snooki" is a part of the Stupid Revolution.

i doubt its her first book because the jersey show is scripted and scripts count as literature

You're right. I think she just got a new tattoo and was trying to spell boob.

If you looked at the article, you'd see that she tweeted that, the number of characters you can put in one tweet is only 140. She probably abbreviated the word book or it may have been a typo. Who knows?
01:50 AM on 02/18/2010
From the context I can see she meant "book." But I've never seen "bo" as short form for "book."
If she got rid of 2 exclamation points she would have the characters needed to spell "book."

THIS JUST IN>>>
Snooki reads her first blog about Snooki reading a book.
06:47 PM on 02/17/2010
Of course it's not possible, unless she never attended any level of schooling in the United States.
05:18 PM on 02/17/2010
It sounds like an act, then again you shouldn't take the word of someone who isn't a Snooki hater like me.

Do we expect Snooki to be an intellectual?

I didn't know that reading puts you into the intellectual category. Oh how far have we fallen?
