Ewan McGregor: Polanski Case Has 'Nothing To Do With Me' (VIDEO)

Ewan McGregor stars in Roman Polanski's slick new political thriller 'The Ghost Writer,' and Thursday he visited GMA to talk about the movie and working with the embroiled director.

"He's a legend," McGregor said. "He's one of the best living film directors there is. So I was excited to work with him."

George Stephanopoulos pressed him to comment on Polanski's legal troubles but McGregor said, "It has nothing to do with me. It's none of my business."

In the movie, out Friday, McGregor plays a ghost writer who is hired to complete the memoirs of a former British Prime minister (Pierce Brosnan) and finds himself in way over his head.

It's perfectly paced and loaded with duplicity, international politics, war crimes, sex and hidden messages.
