Central Saint Martins Pays Tribute To Alexander McQueen

Central Saint Martins, London's famous fashion college and Alexander McQueen's alma mater, paid tribute to the late designer on Sunday at a show for its masters degree course, the Independent UK reports. The show opened with an old recording of McQueen describing his time spent at the school:

"I actually went there to teach pattern cutting, and ended up doing the master's degree. I only had one O-level in art so it was quite cool...but what I liked about it was the freedom of expression and being surrounded by like-minded people...it showed me there were other people out there like me."

Twenty-two students showed their work, ranging from jumpsuits to men's shirts to trailing jersey dresses. McQueen graduated from CSM in 1992.
