Haiti Youth Work To Provide Sanitation For Displacement Camps

Following the 7.0 earthquake that devastated the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas, over a million Haitians are left homeless. Displacement poses major health concerns for the families left without proper shelter and sanitation. Without toilets, showers and sinks, people are unable to practice proper hygiene that will keep them safe from spreading diseases like malaria and cholera. As the rainy season draws near, the lack of sanitation becomes an even greater threat.
