America's Safest City Neighborhoods: Does Yours Make The Cut?

While America's biggest cities were once hotbeds of crime and violence, in recent years places like Los Angeles, Chicago, and Boston have become relative safe havens for residents.

Even New York, which was once held up as all that was wrong with our society, has become a beacon of crime-fighting. In fact, this year the city's murder rate hit an all-time low.

But within these cities some neighborhoods stand out for their safety more than others.

The Upper East Side of Manhattan, Park View Estates in Arizona, and Twin Lakes in Denver, among others, stand as the safest neighborhoods in their respective cities.

Using crime data developed by NeighborhoodScout.com, along with FBI data from local law enforcement agencies, the website WalletPop.com created a list of the safest hoods in America's top 50 big cities.
