Arizona Goes 'Birther'? Nearly Half Of State Legislators Want To See Obama's Birth Certificate Before 2012 Run

PHOENIX — Nearly half of the Arizona Legislature wants to force President Barack Obama to show his birth certificate to state officials if he runs for re-election.

A state House committee on Tuesday approved the measure sponsored by 40 of the state's 90 legislators. It would require presidential candidates who want to appear on the ballot in Arizona to submit documents proving they meet the requirements to be president.

All 40 co-sponsors are Republicans, comprising 75 percent of the GOP caucus. Two of them have since resigned to run for Congress.

The idea was proposed by Skull Valley Republican Rep. Judy Burges. She says if people have to prove their citizenship to apply for a job or get a passport, they should have to prove it to run for president.

Attorney Paul Jensen said "In the law, if a litigant has within his ability the opportunity to present more compelling evidence, and instead chooses to present less compelling evidence, that fact may be used by the jury to disregard or discredit the evidence presented. If there is an original birth certificate signed by the doctor, signed by his mother, identifying the doctor, identifying the hospital, and Obama instead chose to release a mere abstract, computer generated abstract that is not conclusive evidence legally of his birth, then we are free to conclude that stronger evidence does not in fact exist."

While addressing the Kenya Pariliament, on Thursday, March 25, 2010, the Minister for Lands, James Orengo stated "How could a young man born here in Kenya, who is not even a native American, become the president of America?"

Basically, the reason he was able to get elected was because Nancy Pelosi lied about it and McCain's campaign wasn't smart enough to flag it.

As a college student, Obama lived in the Occidental International Student Dorm Building. Obama’s freshman year roommate was Imad Husain, a Pakistani. If Husain was housed in the foreign student dorm and Obama was his roommate, Obama necessarily also lived in that dormitory. Obama likely enrolled as a foreign student from Indonesia, was given a temporary Social Security number starting with 999, and received foreign student grants and aid funded by the California taxpayers. Obama is refusing to release his school records because they would support those allegations and either prove that he was a foreign student—and therefore ineligible to serve as president—or he committed fraud in collecting grants intended only for foreign students.

At Columbia University in New York City, Obama’s roommate was Sohale Siddiqi, a Pakistani Muslim—another indication that Obama registered as a foreign student throughout his college years.

The most recent of the multiple Social Security numbers Obama has used over the years begins with the digits 042, which signify issuance from the state of Connecticut. His (current) number belongs to a Connecticut man who was born in 1890. Obama never lived or worked in Connecticut. Because he was foreign born and probably never filed citizenship papers to be naturalized, he could not obtain a legitimate Social Security number. He therefore fraudulently used the number of a dead man.

Obama never registered for the Selective Service because he didn't have to: he was not a citizen of the United States. He used his Indonesian citizenship (gained when he was adopted by Lolo Soetoro) to attend college and obtain student grants and aid. When a skeptical citizen asked for Obama's Selective Service form in 2008, a phony document was produced to "satisfy" the request.

The thug-in-chief is a con-man from day one. He should be thrown out of office, deported to Indonesia, and indicted for criminal fraud for using a phone Social Security number.

The Constitution uses the terms "citizen," "naturalized" citizen, and "natural born citizen." The final term is used only ONCE, as a requirement for the presidency. That was intentional; the drafters of the document wished to be precise. Historical documents show that the term "natural born citizen" means "born on U.S. soil to two citizen parents." Obama is therefore NOT a natural born citizen, regardless of where he was born. His father was a citizen of the British protectorate that later became Kenya. Obama may eventually have became a "citizen" by virtue of his residency, but he was not and never can be a natural born citizen.

John McCain was not born on U.S. soil and arguably cannot serve as president. Arnold Schwarzenegger is a naturalized citizen and cannot serve as president. Bobby Jindal's parents were from India and were in the United States on student visas when he was born; he also cannot serve as president (even if his parents later became naturalized citizens).

My goodness I thought that a requirement to become a member of the legislature in a State would require some small smatering of intelligence. I am just an lowly high school educated veteran but I believe I am at least able to read the Birth certificate provided by the state of Hawaii Note citizens of the State of hawaii are US citizens. These folks are pathetic. They want to see other individuals' birth certificate but, guaranteed they would no show theirs, even if they could find it. They also ask for "literacy tests" for others but most don't know the difference betwee a state and a country or when the various states are located. There is more to "literacy" than words and sentences. It involves understanding and comprehending. And, on that basis, most of them would fail any "literacy" test in almost any subject. They never bothered to learn.

The phrase "natural born citizen" has never been conclusively interpreted the Supreme Court, but there is absolutely no reason to believe that it would exclude someone who is a dual citizen. The only real debate among people actually educated in the law is whether it includes anyone who is a citizen at birth (including statutory citizens, e.g., people who are born abroad that have American parents) or only constitutional citizens (e.g. people born within the United States, who are citizens by virtue of the 14th Amendment).

I had several email exchanges with Judy Burges, the sponsor of this bill, in which I asked her the following question, point blank: "Does Obama need to provide more documentation than he has in the past if he wants to appear on the Arizona ballot in 2012? Yes or no?"

Her response? "Please do not try to draw me into a conversation in which neither of us can win."

Here's a good example of how our email exchange went:

Ms. Burges: For the last two years, however, [Obama's] authority to hold office has been questioned by some and that alone brings an unnecessary burden that should be eliminated in the future. My bill is designed to prevent that unfortunate occurrence in the future.

ME: But, there are also some who think Obama is the anti-Christ. Should we also pander to these idiots by forcing every candidate to be tested by showering them with holy water?

The whole thing is an obvious attempt to pander to the Tea Bag party and/or the Birthers. It's just sad and makes me embarrassed to be a resident of Arizona.

John Bingham, the framer of the 14th Ammendment defines "natural born citizen"..

Definition [in the] (Law of Nations (Emmerich De Vattel)), state[s] that "natural born citizen is one that is born in the country to parents, that are citizens",,,,in other words born on the soil to parents (plural) of the soil, and not owing allegiance to any other soverign nation. Obama's father was a citizen of Kenya and also a British subject citizens, bestowing DUAL citizenship upon Obama. Therefore Obama IS a native born citizen but is NOT a natural born citizen and is ineligible to hold the office of president.

Only because I commented elsewhere regarding this am I commenting here. I know it's a sidebar, but I feel a crucial one when discussing anything. I would never claim all Republicans don't answer questions. I would, as a whole (not all), say they've gotten real good at using distractions and diversions. But this isn't as much their fault as it is the modern way we think as a society we discuss and debate. Sometimes I think the Left isn't far behind. In any high school debate I'm pretty sure it wouldn't serve them, or us, well. But today it has become popular to do this. Again, I blame media more interested in creating hate than serving society. It sells, just like humiliating people on Idol sells, or "pro-" wrestling, or kicking people off an island, or...

I like to know if you people who think that Obama is not a USA citizen then McCain is not because he was born in the Pamana Cancale Zone which is a terroria. Even if McCain father was in the military still means that McCain had a dual citizenship.

So therefore I like to know as to why the so call birther did not say anything about this.

I must agree that issue is the fact the President is considered to be a BLACK MAN and they want the WHITE HOUSE to remain white (other words only somebody whose white can be president)!!!!!!!
