Union To Sue CTA Over Cuts, Could Call For Strike As Early As Monday

Labor unions at the Chicago Transit Authority responded today to management's demands for givebacks with the filing of work-rule complaints and the promise of lawsuits later this week.

"We are not here to hurt the riding public,'' said Darrell Jefferson, president of Local 241. But he said his membership may call for a possible strike vote as early as Monday.
