Brittany Murphy's Missing Vicodin

tmz.com:

Brittany Murphy obtained a prescription for 120 hydrocodone (Vicodin) pills 11 days before her death .... and the day she died there were only 11 pills left in the bottle ... TMZ has learned.

What's more we've learned the L.A. County Coroner's Office cannot locate the doctor who prescribed the pills and they are on the hunt to find him.

Depending on how bad her pain was, she could easily have taken the missing pills. She might have been using up to 10 a day. I have a friend that has chronic pain and her dose is 1-2 10mg Vicodan (most Vicodan prescribed is 5mg) every four to six hours. Maybe this poor young woman was addicted, but maybe, just maybe, she was in terrible pain. I know there is a quote in the bible somewhere that says something along the lines of "judge not, that ye be not judged". Let us leave this young woman's memory alone, she had people who loved her.

Agreed. Not hard at all to consume those pills. I have lost two friends to accidental overdose on the same medication­. A little drink, a couple of pills, doesn't seem to be 'working', another pill, still doesn't seem to be 'working', couple more pills, and then all of a sudden you're at the halfway point where you're unable to remember exactly how many you took in the last couple of hours. A few more pills, then a few more...and then...you­r heart stops. Oops. My friends did not mean to do this. I believe that with all my heart. Sometimes people die in stupid accidents. I loved my friends and I miss them. I do not judge them for their terrible mistake.

I think -- I may be wrong -- the point of them being missing is that someone else took them from her, possibly after she died.

So someone who knew her either took the pills or she gave them some pills. its has already been ruled that she died (essential­ly accidental­ly) due to chronic health problems and disease process - not drugs, drink, etc.. It was not a suicide. I guess the press (meaning us - the public) is out to find dirt where there is none except that a sweet young woman is dead, and it is possible she didn't have to die if she had sought medical help earlier.

I said it in the other story about her the other day and i'll say it again. She was a addicted to pain pills more than likely b/c of all the plastic surgery she endured. And couple that depraving herself the proper nutrition and other uppers and downers and you have a very good reason to have a heart attack or stroke or sadly even death.

I had a co-worker, a vibrant mother in her late twenties, who died of pneumonia very suddenly. She was under a doctor's care for bronchitis and was admitted to a hospital before she died. She was a heavy smoker. The human body is very complicate­d. Everything is not a conspiracy­.
