Scotty Lago Explains Pictures On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' (VIDEO)

Scotty Lago left the Vancouver Olympics early just days after he won a bronze medal in the men's halfpipe competition. Racy pictures surfaced, showing a woman kissing his medal near his waist.

It was soon reported that Lago was forced out against his will by the United States Ski and Snowboard Association. On Friday, Lago appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" to address the controversy.

The bronze medalist explains that a friend told him Michael Phelps recognized the woman in the scandalous photos. According to the friend, Phelps said the woman once identified herself as a reporter and tried to make out with him. Lago says he was "pretty emotional" when first told he had to leave Vancouver -- a joint decision from the U.S.S.A. and the U.S. Olympic Committee. He also joked that he was going to go bid on fellow Olympian Hannah Teter's underwear.

Scroll down to see more from the interview, including a personal closing ceremony to make up for the real one that Lago could not attend.
