Only Salma Hayek wore McQueen. It explains it, I guess, perhaps she persuaded her husband who owns the McQueen label not to close it. Sadly, albeit very beautiful and with wonderful figure, she didn't do justice to the dress, because it requires someone taller with longer legs, since the skirt is very puffy.
Tilda Swinton is sorely missed.

If someone had thrown a sandwich on that stage there would have been a riot.

SJP's skin looked orange and her hair was all mussed. The dress was a huge mistake.
Sandra Bullock looked lovely, her dress gorgeous but her make-up, especially that color lipstick, was a tad too much.
Kate Winslet hit it exactly right. She is a class act. Cameron Diaz, Helen Mirren, Elizabeth Banks all looked wonderful. Hollywood glamourous.

Zoe Saldana looked like she was dragging all the Sesame Street muppets behind her.

Jake Gyllenhaal looked handsome head to toe. Quentin Tarantino looked like he had been sleeping in his clothes for a week

Zoe Kravitz and Kate Winslet, Demi Moore and Amanda Seyfried dressed best. All Zoe Saldana needed was a leash; she looked like a poodle and Maggie Gyllenhaal wore a schmata that looked cheap and gave no form to her body. Cameron Diaz looked lovely and didn't go overboard with color for a change which she has a tendency to do. Diane Kruger/ What was that??? All in all, too much grey and pastel pinks and Tina Fey wearing stay-away-from-me black again while Jennifer Lopez thinks she looks great if she wears something that makes her look like she's going to explode.

Sandra Bullock's dress was gorgeous and she had one of the best Oscar speeches I've ever heard. But I have two words for the make-up: Train. Wreck. Seriously, years from now she will look at photos of this evening and say, "What was I thinking?" Between the garish colors, the too-dark brunette (I actually flashed on Ronald Reagan), and the severe hair style, she aged herself ten years. It's one thing for Anne Hathaway to do that kind of drama, but Sandra's old enough to be her ... well, she IS 18 years older.

Totally. When she was outside her lipstick looked fuschia. Eeek. Like she had been made up by Barbie. Too bad, because except for the cut of her dress under her arms, it was gorgeous. So we know she finally has half a stylist.

I think J-Lo had a mini me hid under that giant side panel of a dress. LOL...What are you thinking girlfriend, it's almost like getting dressed in the dark and coming out with two different shoes on, only the dress is waaaaay funnier.

Most of the gowns were hideous! Someone please get these women a good stylist who will be honest with them! Ladies, if your body is out of shape (and you know who you are)....please spare us the tight, strapless gowns that show every lumpy roll. If you have nothing upstairs, dont wear a gown that accentuates that part...it is gross and a little creepy.

this "make them dress like the golden era" concept is wearing thin.
the actors are uncomfortably wearing expensive costumes.

I'm still trying to figure out Charlize Theron's gown. I loved the colors, even loved the bustle in the back, but those giant ruffled roses on each breast left me speechless.
