Ben Roethlisberger Update: Steelers QB 'Aggressively Hit' On Bar Patron

Ben Roethlisberger Sexual Assault Investigation
Ben Roethlisberger

Three days after being accused of sexual assault for the second time in his NFL career, accounts of Ben Roethlisberger's wild night in Georgia continue to roll in.

Deadspin analyzed Facebook updates from Milledgeville, Ga., and concludes that the Steelers quarterback's night on the town lasted at least three-and-a-half hours and involved five different bars. One bartender wrote that "ben roethlisberger was here last night hanging out at the bars in Milledgeville... he was molested by girls everywhere he went."

The AP, meanwhile, spoke with multiple college students about Roethlisberger's behavior at the Capital City nightclub:

Amber Hanley, a 21-year-old college student, said she and a few friends were also in the VIP area with Roethlisberger. She said she asked the quarterback to take a photo with her friend, whose boyfriend was a fan, but he seemed disappointed that's all she wanted. Hanley said she rolled her eyes, and Roethlisberger called her an expletive and walked away. Later, Roethlisberger was aggressively hitting on another girl, Hanley said.

Deputy Police Chief Richard Malone said Roethlisberger had been with three other people who were mingling with another group that included the alleged victim. Malone said the woman and her party contacted a nearby police officer following the alleged assault.

A source inside the Milledgeville Police Department tells TMZ that Roethlisberger's accuser was "extremely emotional and looked like she had been crying for hours" when she arrived at the police station on Friday.

Roethlisberger has not been charged with a crime, and has hired the same lawyer who helped Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis fight a murder charge more than a decade ago.

Okay. Here's a thought. And something I believe most gentlemen would do.

If I just had sex with someone in a bathroom, and she fell and hit her head badly enough to need to go to the hospital... I would take her to the hospital myself. Or if I was too drunk to drive, I would call her a cab, or call 911 to get an ambulance there for her.

I would not just leave and let her stagger outside by herself to seek assistance from the police. I would do that for a stranger who just fell on the sidewalk, let alone someone who I had just hooked up with.

That just doesn't add up.

Maybe he suffers from Tiger Syndrome and just wants to be one.

I don't think he's gonna be able to make this one go away (nor should he). The first gal seemed pretty flakey but this is college girl who was extremely upset afterwards, reported the incident almost immediately, and also had an entourage who can vouch for her wherabouts and state of mind. Hey Ben.....guess you forgot about the rule most of us learned in Kindergarten....No Means No.

He's got one situation already involving a rape allegation. Now, he has this. What happens if a third occurs? And don't forget he has that motorcycle accident that was the result of careless driving. It's akin to what happened with Tiger, although Tiger wasn't accused of breaking any laws, or assaulting someone. But first one incident, a car accident, morphed into all sorts of women coming forward and admitting to being his 'squeeze'. If he has an aggressive 'dark side', that sounds an awful lot like being alcohol related. Obviously, we don't know all the facts yet, but Big Ben is fast establishing an image problem. Even if he is completely innocent of all these things, he MAY want to re-evaluate if it's worth it to frequent such places, at least until his playing days are over. If nothing else, the distractions they become for his team and teammates becomes a burden in itself. THEY will be put into a position of answering for him.

i wonder how many "allegations" of sexual assualts leveled against Ben before the media including HuffPost starts treating him like Michael Vick? he had 1 a while back that was dismissed, he's gotten another one w/ SEVEN others "possibly" pending; but it won't be long before the NFL/media starts labeling the victims as: crazy, gold-diggers, or they "asked for it."

i LOVE the Steelers & this pisses me off. Ben you're worth millions, you've won a Super Bowl, you're 6'7, you could have almost any woman (ick) but this is the "alleged" way you go about it? i think the word: predator comes to mind. although judging by what i've seen of the GA law enforcement so far i can't imagine that the state of GA will handle this in any way other than the southern-good-ol'-boy justice way. so he'll probably be cleared.

Well, HuffPost has another headline stating "Accuser was photographed with...blah blah blah." She asked for it. Many commenters have speculated about a huge cash settlement for this woman. Crazy Goldigger.

I don't know if this or any of the other accusations are true. However, if they are, it will be a powerful remider that people who commit acts of sexual violence don't do it because they need sex. Obviously, this man can get all of the consensual sex he wants. It is the act of violating another person that excites most assailants. Reminder: RAPE IS NOT ABOUT SEX, IT IS ABOUT POWER.

Still waiting for the Marvell Scott supporters to jump in here and vigorously defend Ben, fighting for justice and the American way. Where, oh where could they be?

Oiga Ben, did you think you were going far away to look for trouble or what?
Let's see how the Rooney family and the coach deals with this.

I don't know if it's the media being more on top of this stuff (for once) making the problem seem worse than it is or what, but it seems that the best way to reduce a city's crime rate is get rid of its professional and college sports teams. One weekly in our area even has a regular column column called something like the "sports blotter" where it lists the latest arrests of athletes, etc. Maybe it's time to reassess our evaluation of these people, what we are willing to pay them, and how much their activities are really worth to our lives. My guess is a lot less than we think. At the very least we need to close off the money spigot. The amount of money we pay for sports, college and pro, is obscene, wasteful, and stupid. I'm all for sports. But not when it costs millions, produces so many people who can't grow up and turn out to be false heroes.

where are all the comments about how thugs are taking over the NFL. How they are not educated, only know how to be violent. Where's all that? Because its this dude he must have been set up? I'm not saying that he's guilty, i'm just saying if he was "some one else" (black) he would have been convicted in the public eye by now, not people saying he needs to stop putting himself in 'bad situations"
