Stan Lee Mounts Campaign For "Best Cameo" Oscar (VIDEO)

Another year and another Academy Awards Show in the books. And once again, Stan Lee was snubbed. Lee, who may be known to most as the creator of Spider-Man and other famous comics, is one of the leading cameo actors in film history and the man deserves to be recognized. While the plea is all in jest, the category would be a welcomed addition to the show.

Judi Dench already won this award; they just called it Best Supporting Actress.

Hitchcock was deserving of a Cameo Oscar

It's a joke, but I actually wouldn't put it past the Academy. Judging from last night's overwhelming focus on acting (each supporting actor got an overlong clip of their performance, and each lead actor had another movie star talking about them) -- the Academy may want to add even more attention to movie stars who show up unexpectedly in movies.

Of course, that category would have been welcome in the 40s and 50s. Maybe then Hitchcock could have won a few!
