The Price Is Creepy: Bob Barker's Sexual Harassment Greatest Hits (VIDEO)

First Posted: 05/09/10 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 04:45 PM ET

Just because Bob Barker didn't achieve professional status as a sexual harasser until 2000, it doesn't mean he wasn't dominating the amateur circuit before then. Looks like the guy did pretty well for himself when it came to making female contestants uncomfortable. And who are we to judge? It was the 70s. We've all seen "Anchorman." We know this is par for the course. (via fourfour)

Completely bogus title to this. This is not sexual harrassment in the least.

I am so glad to be past the age of being called "girl" all the time.

This is sexism not sexual harassment.

Based on what you show here, you owe the guy an apology in fonts every bit as flashy as your headline. And put a byline on it.

I always thought he was a nicely controlled jerk who gave off a patronizing vibe that he didn't really like women,so I wasn't surprised when the allegations of sexual harassment started to surface.
Richard Dawkins actually seems to respect and like women.

Richard Dawkins? I think you mean Richard Dawson.

hmm, hate to burst anyones bubble there, but MOST of those are out of context, and being a LONGtime watcher of this show, allot of that is part of his personality, ie. this is also how he treats males...

For all the great things Bob Barker does for animals he will always be a great guy in my book. Somebody has way too much time on their hands if this is the best they can come up with. I'm sorry I wasted my time watching this.

What a joke! You want to see some sexual harrassment, watch some old Richard Dawson on the Family Feud. He kissed just about every woman on the show. (and not a peck on the cheek either!)

He was just being kind. No good deed goes unpunished. Would you watch a show where the host told the truth about the appearance of the contestants?

No. But why comment about the way they look at all? Why is it even necessary?

There's no call for the kneejerk and counter kneejerk reactions. It's just hilarious old footage. Hard to believe people watched that for decades. I used to see it sometimes when high and munching out with friends when I was a bit younger (that and Fresh Prince and X-Files reruns!). Even the weed wasn't enough to make it less horrible.

I was looking for a byline or attribution so that I'd know who to excoriate for posting this under the ridiculous "sexual harassment" headline... then I noticed that it is listed under the comedy section. As such, I'm going to give a "pass" to whoever posted this, assuming it was intended to be tongue-in-cheek.

Otherwise, all I can say is, I'd hate to spend much time around someone who is so utterly clueless about the difference between sexual harassment and simple flirting.

As someone else noted below, calling this "harassment" diminishes and cheapens the REAL harassment that is all-too-common in modern life.

Yeah, it's a joke, not a call for action.

In his defense, if they don't stand close to him they won't be included in the two shot.

At best these clips are examples of sexism, but not sexual harassment. To call these sexual harassment diminishes the impact of true sexual harassment.
