Good news, gamers: a new Sony motion controller called 'PlayStation Move' has been released.
The new controller marks an effort by Sony to challenge Nintendo's edge in the gaming-gear market. Sony claims the PlayStation Move provides a more precise gaming experience.
The Associated Press reports:
Used with the existing PlayStation Eye camera, Sony's new wireless motion controller can track players' body movements. The controller, in turn, has on its end a light-emitting orb that is recognized by the camera.
"Nothing has ever been this precise," said Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Computer Electronics Worldwide Studios.
Engadget has posted some initial thoughts on the PlayStation Move device, which it calls 'light,' but also reports has some lag.
