OUR LEGISLATORS AND OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS
PART 4 OF 4 PLEASE READ IN ORDER

Our President and legislators, like the proverbial thief, aren't at all ashamed of their blatant self-enrichment. They just really, really want to get away with it, and they are going to use every trick it in the playbook, and write a few more, to do it.

It also gives new meaning  Read More...

Let's see. Mandate to buy private insurance - the opposite of what Health Reform should be. Pay for 4 years before any adult will recieve the benefits - thousands will die. No true guarantee that insurance companies will not raise rates as the record speaks for itself (Insurance companies are sub par to human beings health), deals with Pharma and American Hospitals for Profit to kill the Public Option if they go along with certain pieces of reform. Something is amiss, don't you think.
08:17 PM on 03/17/2010
Okay, let me get this straight.... This is a complete to the insurance company, and will not do what the Dems are claiming but you are going to vote for it anyway because you want the President to succeed!!!!!!!!! And you wonder why Independents are not voting for you.
02:24 PM on 03/17/2010
And P.S. -

Alan Grayson is the only DEM with enough balls to save you now. He is a tiger like FDR was, and you need someone with his guts who understands what is REALLY going on. He knows what the GOP is ALL about and he wouldn't have wasted a SECOND to ram his agenda through Congress and spit in the face of these moronic Republicans and ConservaDems.

You need fund Grayson to the hilt and start getting TOUGH!

You need what Canada had in Prime Minister Trudeau - an unabashed and unapolgetic hard left leaning liberal whose response to Neo Cons was THE FINGER!

You left wing has been too weak for too long and it was shocking to see your country in the grips of the Neo Cons for 8 years. Get tough.

In Canada if an insurance company ever denys us, we simple call the Government and the Gov moves in slaps a fine so bad on the insurance provider their ass is sore for a year. My wife was declined my an insurer and within 1 months the insurer was forced to pay ALL funds AND kiss her A*S is the process.

You have been duped.

Be great again ----- oh and because, I'm Canadian, make that;

Be great again PLEASE!

Let's get this done and then work our buts off to get Medicare for all as a choice with either H.R 676 or H.R 4789. Call your congressman.

America is an old drunk staggering down the street wearing a tattered highschool jersey that reads - "USA #1" But those days are long gone.

Wake up America. If you want to compete again you STRONG financial regulations and a STRONG SINGLE PAYER medical system. Your infrastructure is crumbling and man your airports suck.

Until you FINALLY make it illegal for Corps. to give campaign cash to Congressional members you are doomed and going straight down hill. Welcome to the 3rd world!

Here is an example of what we Americans will face if we don't put a stop to the republican fear mongering. Fear is our only enemy, it destroys not only the mind but the soul.

If it is true the Kucinich has flipped and will now vote for the bill, then I would like to commend him for coming to his senses.

Maybe the rest of the "progressives" who have resorted to using Frank Luntz frabricated talking points to try to kill health care reform will follow with him.

K has never met a cause he didn't betray. I remember when he said he'd fight John Kerry over the Iraq war on the floor of the convention in '04. What a pathetic excuse for a joke.

Anyone who has needed healthcare to the point of consuming narc.otics regularly knows that there is no such thing as "ramming it through". Change your middle name to Senna if you are ever faced with this very bad situation.

Obama used the lady with leukemia as an example for this health care bill. Use analysis to push through all the emotional fervor. We didn't like that about Bush's war, they told a bunch of stories based on falsehoods to work people into a mad rush to war. This is the same thing.

How, specifically, would this bill help that lady? Will it force the insurance company to lower her rate (I believe it was $30K, or whatever huge number), retroactively? If she is getting treatment and not employed, how can it be based on her income? And if there's no income, does that mean the gov't will pay whatever the insurance company says?

When will that bill kick in for her? She is taking the treatments now. Is repayment for it retroactive? How far will it go back, and will it pay for all the people's treatments who are getting them now, like she is? And if it doesn't go back and pay for it, how is this an example of how the bill will help this lady? It's not an example because it won't help her at all.

But, medicare for all, that starts immediately . . that would help her. As would a public option or single payer. Take this example seriously. The President brought it up, so analyze what the bill will actually do for her and what the other options would do for her. That will point out the lies and misconceptions he is peddling.

Nice smear job. The lady's case is an example, for those who need it explained.

There was a recent report in an Australian Current Affairs program about Obama, claiming that he was really unpopular in the US. I was thinking "oh really?" when the reporter called this HC reform "Obamacare".

Straight away I thought - it's like this story was created by a HP tr0ll. So I bet myself that this whole story was a complete load of crap from beginning to end. Then the 'reporter' mentioned the tea party and they assured me it was a serious new political force threatening Obama's grip on all his reforms and I nearly fell from my chair laughing.

Also there was an interview with your ambassador to Oz. I forget the guy's name but he was really cool.

Obama's not unpopular in the U.S.!

A lot of us still think he's doing great!
04:02 AM on 03/16/2010
I suspected as much. The whole segment was just beating up on him and at no point was there an interview with any Dems or Independents it was all from the Republican side. Quite funny really. I mean what's the point of persuading Australians that Obama's plans are no good for America? Anyway, that was how it played out.

Interesting, Cobber (if a Yank may address you, as such) I was speaking with a friend from OZ a couple of days ago. She was postively effusive in her high regard for Obama. She went on to say, her friends were are the same slant.

We feed our tea baggers in roadside petting zoos. It's a national hobby.

Is there a career path for being one of those 2am infomercial gurus? This dude, Author of "The One Minute Millionaire: The Enlightened Way to Wealth" is on TV right now attempting to sell me his brand new get rich quick scheme.

You gotta admire these people and their relentless crusade to cheat the gullible.

Hard work is a staple of our society and not out of the realm of possibility for most folks. Well done totalliberal. Unfortunately, the system is balanced towards those who are already wealthy.

Don't worry Doc. All those riots and fires and chaos in Greece. That could never happen here. Obama has a credit card and he is buying drinks for the whole house. Party on Dude.

I'm amazed at his lack of debate skills, Doc.

He doesn't grasp the concept that equating the current health insurance system, which is rigged to favor the health insurance carriers over the sick and the injured, to a system of gambling where the odds always favor the house over the players, is a self-defeating argument for his support of the status quo.

Instead, his own argument proves our point that sweeping reform is an absolute necessity.

This guy debates even worse than GWB when he was wired for sound or Palin during her wink-fest and I didn't think that was possible.
