t's not just the students who are responsible for some cringe-worthy behavior in colleges. Sometimes, the administrators and faculty are to blame, too.

As for the U of C gaffe, I suspect that it might have been deliberate. Anyone who has no sense of humor about the application process, even going so far as to "cry" over it, would be eaten alive in Chicago. :)

the most cringe-worthy college gaffe was when obama received a diploma. or did he? he has never produced his transcripts. maybe he had a ghost student like he had a ghost writer for his pseudo auto-biography.

ASU is not required to offer an honorary degree to anyone. ASU's problem was the reason they refused to give Obama an honorary degree. Being the first President of the USA with dark skin and an African father in a country where African Americans were slaves for a period longer than when they were free, just doesn't reach ASU's high standards for what counts as an accomplishment. With an overall graduation rate of 55 percent overall and around 43 percent for blacks, you wonder if ASU knows what an accomplishment is.

Hmm ... I would have put the emphasis on "priestly robes" or "worshippers". It's generally not surprising to me when I find out that other people are thinking. Why would you put emphasis on that?

UCSD wouldn't contain a chapel, as that is USD, the neighborhood private institution. Look for the upside-down pyramid and you know that you've got UCSD.

I worked for the ASU booster group for a decade '80-89; so, I can say without reservation: He was denied by John McCain & Jon Kyl (UofA Grad). Everything is political and everything is about money in Arizona Sports.

So the Sun Devils caved to get some of the pie.

All the hate and jealousy that John McCain can bring forth will never change the fact that he lost the presidency to a young, energetic, highly educated man of color. So, McCain will just have to " live with it everyday of his life"- as he so stated on national television.

Jon Kyl is just a lost cause, not even worth commenting on.
