Just how much are Republican donors willing to pay for a private photo opportunity with conservative firebrands Sarah Palin and Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.)?

The folks at Minnesota-Bachmann Victory Committee are putting the price tag at a whopping $10,000 per couple, according to a copy of the invitation obtained by the Huffington Post

According to the invitation, attendees at the April 7 event in Minneapolis are asked to spend $500 per person for attendance at the General Reception and Dinner; $5,000 for a table of ten; and $10,000 per couple for a "Private Reception with Photo Opportunity. (Included in the latter is a table for ten as well).

The money donated will, per campaign finance rules, have to be spread among various committees. The first $2,400 would go to Bachmann's primary election fund. The next $2,400 would go to her general election refund. And up to $10,000 can go to the Republican Party of Minnesota.

That's not small change, especially for two pols who say they speak on behalf of real, working class America.

HERE IS THE RSVP FORM:

Also expected to attend the fundraiser are Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former Sen. Norm Coleman, Congressman John Kline, and Congressman Erik Paulsen.

Hmmm! "$10,000 per couple for a 'Private Reception' w/ photo opportunity." Sounds like they were selling lap dances in a back room. Be interesting to know if there were any takers that desperate. I could see this desperate table of 10 dropping their drawers - oh, pardon me - big bucks - for the gals: John Ensign. Rick Perry, Sean Hannity, Mark Sanford, Newt Gingrich, Rudy Guliani, David Vitter, John McCain, and John Edwards and Elliott Spitzer would cross party lines.

wouldn't be worried about getting sucked into a black hole or something if the two of them were in the same room together?

So the photo op is $10,000 per couple but includes a table for 10. So the other 8 people at the table don't get pictures? What if 5 couples wanted to sit at the same table and all wanted pictures? Would that be $50,000 and four empty tables somewhere?

This shows exactly where and how far the Reagan and Bush tax cuts "trickle down" -- right into the coffers of politicians willing to offer more of the same.

They'd better be getting it on or something. Still, 10k is high for novelty porn appeal.

My thoughts exactly. The porn industry will pay far more than $10k for a little Failin on Bachmann action. What a way to jump start your respective political careers...I'm wondering if either of these women would be as popular in the GOP if they looked like Janet Reno and Margaret Thatcher.

Why doe that invitation say "GOVERNER PALIN" I understand every state has only one governer. Alaska already has a new governer, so where does her title come from? Should it not say RESIGNED EX GOVERNER SARAH PALIN
