Barack Obama NCAA Bracket: March Madness Picks Include Kansas, Kentucky

First Posted: 05/17/10 06:12 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 04:50 PM ET

Barack Obama has filled out his NCAA bracket, and the president thinks Kanas will survive March Madness and defeat Kentucky to win the title. His Final Four consists of Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky and Villanova.

The president's bracket is fairly safe, with two 1-seeds and two 2-seeds advancing to the Final Four. The lowest seeded team in his Elite Eight is 3-seed Georgetown.

Last year, Obama correctly picked North Carolina to win the tournament, and he provided commentary during the CBS broadcast of a Georgetown-Duke basketball game in January.

Scroll down to see his full bracket and to watch him fill it out on ESPN. Don't miss: pick who YOU think will prevail in the Midwest, West, East and South regions.

Quick Poll

Obama's bracket...

looks good!

won't be winning any pools this year.

back here in the Philippine islands, we take pleasure when our government officials/celebrities partake in our activities, especially basketball and boxing. i'm glad he finds a couple minutes off his busy schedule to relax, still. and i must say, the man knows his basketball well; very well, i might add. you go Mr. Obama!

No president is perfect. He forgot to put Wisconsin in the Finals, after they mess up Kentucky.

Kansas/Memphis broke my heart 2 years ago...I never thought I could hurt so much about a basketball game.

Of course I wish Calipari well, as well as the recruits he took with him. But we'll see him next year, I'm sure. :)

Like spend literally half of his administration on vacation in Texas pretending to chop wood? Ha!

Yeah, Obama's the slacker -- for taking a few moments out, to clear his head, by thinking about an enjoyable hobby, before getting back to work in the thick of (ugly obstructionist Republican) things.

Yeah. Okay. *Obama* is the slacker. Okay. Yeah. Up is down, left is right, your point is valid, black is white and war is peace. Got it. Thanks.

Your comment seems to imply that I am a Republican.

Here is the irony, I'm a Democrat, but more and more...thanks to people like YOU, I'm realizing that I agree with Democratic policies...but I dislike many (most) Democrats as people.

Knee jerk reactionary pansies, most of them...

Just because you suck at sports, and physical exertion and coordination in general, doesn't make sports a "non-story", de rigeur.

Sheesh. Hit the gym already, and give me fifty.

I have no interest in college basketball, but I love when Obama does his March Madness analysis. When he's out of office, hire that man for ESPN!

On the issues of sports and politicians--nothing can come close to touching the disconnect of Dubya. During the marketing campaign of the Iraq War, Dubya spent more time practicing his pitching mechanics, delivery and follow through in preparation for tossing out the first baseball at various opening day ballparks around the country, than compared to the time he invested in learning anything about Iraq's history, ethnicity and politics. Not to mention having anything resembling an exit strategy.

Yeah, and McCain can call a horse race instead of sponsoring this treacherous junk:

I have an IDF uniform for Lieberman (he's in on it too).

I love our President - he's actually a "real person"! Plus has anyone seen a president of late that is working as hard - this man is going 7 days a week! I'm certainly he still has passion about basketball. A man that works that hard needs to have that time to just relax like "real people"

Could anyone imagine John McCain doing his picks on ESPN? Could anyone even imagine what he would even be near ESPN! Of course if he did show up he'd pick Arizona to go all the way even though they're are not in the tourney - needs those votes!

McCain is a big baseball fan and has been on ESPN/ESPN radio several times in the past. His passion for his homestate Diamondbacks is deep.

President Obama on the other hand went 2 far with his Dookie picks. I believe that they will be the first #1 seed eliminated. WVU is going to be the sleeper of the tourney, IF they can get past the second round then I see them going all the way to the Final Four.
