Bret Michaels Talks Blago: 'He's Obviously Going Through An Extremely Tough Situation' (VIDEO)

Poison lead singer and reality show aficionado Bret Michaels is in town tonight for a show, and NBC Chicago did not miss an opportunity to grill the rocker about his experience with former Governor Rod Blagojevich on The "Celebrity Apprentice."

"He was a very nice guy," Michaels said of Blagojevich. "He had a lot of energy. He's obviously going through an extremely tough situation."

While discussing his experience running a celebrity burger joint with Blago for the show's season premiere, he explained that the ex gov was more interested in proclaiming his innocence than he was dishing out burgers.

"[I had to] reign him in," Michaels said. "Listen, hold on...I know you're innocent, I know you're proclaiming it...we need to move to the next person."

Blagojevich, who was waiting tables for his "team" on the show, was criticized by Joan Rivers after he left her burger sitting on a counter while he told another table of customers: "they stole me away from the people who hired me," regarding his impeachment.
