Kimmel: Leno's 'Always Running To Tattle To Oprah' (VIDEO)

Jimmy Kimmel sat down with David Letterman last night, and of course, the topic of conversation quickly veered toward his thoughts on Jay Leno, who he described as a close friend before the fiasco.

When asked about the night he taped his entire show dressed as Leno, Kimmel got in a bonus jab, saying, "It's fun to be Jay. It's easier." But it wasn't that instance that may have damaged their friendship. Rather, it was Kimmel's appearance on Leno's show later that week that may have been the final straw.

Leno would call it a "sucker punch" when he sat down with Oprah. Joked Kimmel: "He's always running to tattle to Oprah." But Kimmel did acknowledge that Jay may have been right, saying, "I didn't feel like I did sucker punch him, but then I looked it up in the dictionary and it turns out I did."

My first choice is Craig Ferguson above all (even Jon Stewart), after that, just try to make me laugh and relax. That being said, I watched Jimmy Fallon one night and my first thought was...this dude needs some ritalin, quick! Never been back.

I need to start watching Kimmel because he seems like a riot. I've never been a fan of Jay. I don't care how good his ratings are, I just don't find him funny.

These men have been in the industry for years and know more dirt about one another than the media. Having said so, Kimmel and Letterman obviously have many reasons to go after Jay.

Kimmel isn't as talented as Jay, but he currently has better writers than Leno. Leno's lack of good jokes is due mainly to the lack of good writers.

I caught the tail end of a newscast this morning on one of the local LA channels. I believe the talking head said Conan had come to an agreement with *Fraud* for a late night show. Seriously.

Haven't read anything about it on HuffPo so far, so perhaps by not hearing the entire context I missed something?

I watch Kimmel's show from time to time. I think he's pretty funny most of the time, especially his interactio­ns with Guillermo and the rest of his sidekicks. That said, Kimmel acted like a punk on Dave's show last night. Dave stayed classy and didn't buy into it. It seemed Kimmel's cheap-shot­s actually made Dave uncomforta­ble.
