The Most OUTRAGEOUS Quotes From The Health Care Reform Debate

Throughout the months of debate, negotiating and vote-switching on health care reform there has been one constant -- the often outrageous and apocalyptic comments spilling from the mouths of lawmakers.

From Sen. Tom Coburn's macabre warning to seniors that if health care reform gets implemented they were going to "die sooner" to Georgia Congressman Paul Broun's recent comments that the health bill would make insurance cards as "worthless as the Confederate dollar." (Just for good measure Broun characterized the push for reform as a "War of Yankee Aggression.")

Coburn and Broun are just two members of a much larger pantheon of lawmakers who have predicted dire consequences for the passage of health care reform as well as the process.

With passage of the bill looking likely, the Huffington Post has compiled a list of the best over-the-top complaints:

Isama Bin Lauden said years ago that he would create a situation that would draw the US into a war that would bleed it dry financially..If you notice that is exactly what has happened..

9/11 dragged us into not one but two wars which has destabilized our financial system to the point that we are in debt for Trillions of dollars..

You also might notice that trying to force democracy on people that cant understand it has caused the opposite to happen and we are now using the corruption and bribery that has been used in most Arab states for centuries here at home

In other words rather than giving the Arab nations Democracy they have given us the bribery and corruption used in their type of government

You may think that the Civil War is over, but in the minds of many in my state, the wrong side won. At a nasty/ crazy town hall I went to this summer, I was given a professionally made well written newspaper that desires to cede from the Union again. Southern (REAL American populated) States are the good states. I live here and pay attention, so it didn't surprise me.

What bugs me is how the racist teaParty people are referred to as the fringe of the Republican Party by the mainstream media! These people have gotten their marching orders from Boehner, McCain, Bunning, etc. as well as Limbaugh and Fox non-news.
