Michelle Obama Appears On "The Simpsons" (VIDEO)

Michelle Obama Simpsons

Michelle Obama made an appearance on "The Simpsons" last night. Well, sort of. She was actually voiced by actress Angela Bassett -- but regardless, the first lady was immortalized in Springfield lore forever.

Obama made a dramatic entrance at Springfield Elementary, much to the delight of male characters Nelson Muntz and Groundkeeper Willie. But she was there to give an inspirational speech to Lisa, who had been ostracized for being a high achiever.

After Lisa (and Nelson) championed her for being so elegant and popular, Obama stated: "Before I was who I am today, I was a nerd." She would've expounded on the point, had Springfield's own "Joe Biden" not cut her off.

Sadly, TS has joined SNL in the tragically not funny category. Victims of old age, I guess

Did you see her guns when she popped the door off Marine One? That garden in the back of the WH does a body good.

It's a strange feeling to think that both our President and the First Lady, individually, could kick my asz.

Even the Simpson's did a better impersonation of Michelle Obama than Saturday Night Live.

However, they will never get a clue.

I liked her on the South Park Election Night episode better.

This was another great Simpsons episode and the First Lady was portrayed accurately with energy, dignity, wisdom and class.

The haters on this thread are funny and pathetic.

The media keep on treating the Obama's as if they got to the White House by winning American Idol.

I saw the relevant clip (no, I'm not disabling Adblock or Noscript either).

Not inaccurate, but not funny.

What was laughable was the Toyota commercial with Ronnie, who bleats about his family and kids... and then goes into generic corporate spoon-fed scripted jingo lingo of "our product". Toyota could have saved their money. Good commercials don't sound like blanket shill statements.

Well, the end bit where she rolls up her sleeves to pull down the stairs was obviously not based in reality, of course... :)
