'A Big F---ing Deal': Biden's Health Care Reform F-Bomb On Live TV (VIDEO)

First Posted: 03-23-10 12:24 PM   |   Updated: 03-23-10 06:08 PM

What's Your Reaction:

Vice President Joe Biden, perhaps overcome with excitement during his speech congratulating President Obama on the passage of health care reform, dropped an F-bomb on live television when he turned to Obama and said, "This is a big fucking deal."

The microphone just barely catches it, but listen closely and you'll hear it. This is surely a high point in Biden's long history of verbal gaffes.

UPDATE 12:54 PM The White House must not be too upset about Biden's comment -- Press Secretary Robert Gibbs just tweeted:

"And yes Mr. Vice President, you're right... "

Rock on Mr. Vice President...said in a moment of innocent passion and said, as always, honestly and spot on. The HIR was indeed quite the BFD. Obama chose well.

King Fish and Andy, which one is dummy, both are.. And these foul mouths are our leaders? Not mind I didn't vote for these idiots. Both will go down in history as the worest President and Vice sense Jimmy Carter.

I think you meant "since," not "sense."

Looking at the rest of your post, ummm, I'm surprised you'd bring up "dummy."

We have a bill that was so flawed that it could not pass on it's own merit. Only through dirty backroom deals. And then it still had to play these silly games to get it through. We have a President who said in his campaign that you cannot pass a bill of this magnitude without majorities. His quote, "You cannot govern like this." Another lie. We have a President who said in his campaign that before he signed a bill the American people would have 5 days to read it. Another lie. We have a president who said he would bankrupt the coal industry. Oh he is keeping that promise. Destroying millions of mining jobs in a time of RECORD UNEMPLOYMENT.

Please identify ONE, just one, dirty back room deal?
photo
CaliTLC   01:01 AM on 4/03/2010
Guess it escaped you that the bill the the President signed was on line since December 2009 when it was passed by the Senate. Wouldn't that be MORE than 5 days, even in GOP math? When and where did he say that he would bankrupt the coal industry?

Makes all us Americans proud to have a VP who talks like a thug. Just makes us all stand up and say we are glad we voted for him. I kinda expect to see him riding up and down Pennsylvania Ave, in his 4X4 with kids in the back. Shootin his gun in the air hollerin "get sum".
disgustedAmericans   12:14 PM on 3/26/2010
Right on!!!!! FCC regulations say that idiots like this should be fined. But not our man. Obama wants a t-shirt with this comment on it. Classless!!! Could we at least get an apology to all the children who were listening to this in the classroom?

How is dropping an F-Bomb straight talk? Considering that the language is COARSE and not productive in any way I am not quite understanding why he's being commended for it.

He may be right, but anyone with common sense does not speak like that on live television. I am an average American and I was raised in a good family who would frown on such a public display. Did we forget what the F word actually means?

I have no problem with swearing. I love South Park and I swear constantly while playing video games, but isn't there a time and a place for everything? Live television in a serious political discussion is NOT the place. Biden needs to tighten the reigns of his lips. That is something you say over a beer afterward the telecast.
CityGardner   09:22 AM on 3/26/2010
Newsflash: Biden talks like us plain folks. Democrats, and only Democrats, passed health care legislation after a century of fighting repub and their congressional wrecking crews every step of the way. Biden's right - this IS a Big F..... Deal!
disgustedAmericans   12:01 PM on 3/26/2010
Is this a great day in America? The government that bankrupted Soc. Sec., Medicare, the post office for heavens sake, is now running my health care. The government now owns our businesses ( and it's obvious that they don't know how to run a business since our Obama people have never had a job in the private sector) our mortgages, our college educations and now our health care. We have an administration who had total disregard for our Constitution that states are now challenging him, something that has never happened in my lifetime.
disgustedAmericans   12:23 PM on 3/26/2010
I'm a plan folk. But I'm an intelligent folk. That word has no place in serious conversation. The republican party has been trying to pass health reform, not takeover, and democrates have blocked REFORM for decades because all they wanted was TAKEOVER. Wake up, this was not about better health care for our people. This was about government, socialists, communist control of our lives and you have just been used by these America destroyers. He said in this campaign, we are days from total transformation. He did it with your help. Republicans, the party of no. They are the party of HELL NO.!!! oops i guess if I get excited enough I may drop a classless word. Oh, your are right. Democrats and only democrats have brought our country in to a new era. SOCIALISTS CONTROL. We are counting on people to remember that.

I do believe you can keep your own health care plan (it says so in the bill). But are you really against insurance companies dropping coverage for pre-existing conditions? Really?

Also, since you seem to be against government do anything, please stay off of my roads, don't send your kids to public schools, or visit any national parks, and please don't ever collect social security or disability checks. Thank you.

Biden is absolutely right.
Its a big f****ing deal. The experience guy has done in one year what experienced and very experience have failed to do over a century.

Thats a big f*****king deal
disgustedAmericans   12:10 PM on 3/26/2010
You are kidding me. The president is the most inexperienced guy ever elected. No business experience at all. His only experience is Chicago style arm twisting great knowledge of marxism. Oh he does have a lot of experience with America haters, bombers.

mendelcrosses   12:50 PM on 3/27/2010
Sorry! my mistake.

It was meant to be "The inexperienced guy .........."

BTW,Obama is pretty more experienced than Kennedy was when he won. And if W Bush's is something one might consider as experience, then I dont know what to say.

One thing we know is that W Bush never had any job without his Daddy making a few calls. So that doesnt really count as experience,or does it?

Apparently there are still a few people left who didn't know political leaders (all of them) use profanity casually. Wow. Gosh, come to think of it, I use profanity on a regular basis myself. And you, Huffington Post reader,, reading this now, I bet do too...admit it...come on now.

Yes, but they use it in appropriate places.

Think of it this way, at least people think he's a clown, and don't think of him like Cheney.
photo
ChampLessFuzzy   08:03 AM on 3/26/2010
Intelligent people do not think of him as a clown in any way. Biden is about as bright and together as they come. Straight talk is refreshing and needed from our lawmakers.

And what others think just doesn't matter.
disgustedAmericans   12:29 PM on 3/26/2010
you bet we don't think of him as Cheney. Cheney has more class in his toe than old JOe. Give me Cheney anyday. Heck give me anybody else any day.

Irony?

Republican America --> http://www.youtube.com/user/LostMessageInABottle#p/a/u/0/n9f4kbVhkns

Worth Repeating:

For republicans life begins at conception and ends at birth!

values777   11:44 PM on 3/25/2010
Yes, I can just see all of those republican parents kill.ing or neg.lecting their children...

That's ok, 40 million abortions since Roe v. Wade, 40 million less democrats...
Belurda   06:54 AM on 3/26/2010
Doubt it. Republicans feel worse about their lives. I would say only 10 million Democrats didn't make it out of the hole as opposed to the 30 million future hippocrates.
