Michelle Obama Continues Culinary Tour Of New York

The White House has kept understandably mum about the first lady's visit to New York--where she and 15 friends and family took in a Broadway show over the weekend--but Page Six reports that the girls' weekend extended past the weekend because Sasha and Malia are on spring break. On Tuesday Mrs. Obama and some friends ate at Aquavit, the restaurant owned by Marcus Samuelsson, who cooked the White House's first state dinner. Eyewitnesses report that she was wearing a sleeveless black dress and ordered the tasting menu. FLOTUS also ate at Grimaldi's pizzeria in Brooklyn and Dinosaur Bar-B-Q in Harlem.

I hope that Page 6 and other news organizations use some discretion when reporting the whereabouts of Michelle and the girls...the anger level of people such as the Teabaggers really makes me worried for their safety.

Glad they got to have some fun. I realize the President had to stay and work on HCR, so I appreciate the sacrifice of having to change plans. Love how they got to enjoy the city. Silly of the phatriots to even bother coming here to snipe.

To all the h8ers who have nothing better to do than complain....Every time the POTUS or the FLOTUS go to a restaurant or shop, that restaurant or shop gets lots of new business, so the Obamas are helping the economy and small business owners. The only question would be why don't you want the economy to get better?
