Cicero trustees are taking the law into their own hands -- parking law, at least.
Earlier this week, they passed an ordinance giving themselves the authority to write tickets for non-moving violations.
"It's like adding seven more people on the street to monitor parking," town spokesman Ray Hanania said. "We're talking about double parking on the street, parking in front of a cross walk, parking in front of a fire hydrant, parking in a handicapped space or a bus zone."
