The officer who arrested Joey Porter is under investigation for possible brutality, according to TMZ. Porter, who recently signed with the Arizona Cardinals after being released (twice) by the Miami Dolphins, accuses the officer of manhandling and "striking" him.
Porter was arrested on Saturday. Police suspected that he was driving drunk and contend that he assaulted an officer while resisting arrest. Earlier Monday, however, Porter's attorney noted that the linebacker's arresting officer was arrested for drunk driving in October.
Porter was named a member of the NFL's all-decade team in February.
