Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has been stuck in a style rut for quite some time.
The head of Chanel's atelier is known for his strict uniform of white shirt, black tie, blazer, jeans or trousers.
So it was slightly surprising to see the 76-year-old leave his hotel in New York with a mountain of luggage which would be more suitable for the likes of Naomi Campbell or Mariah Carey.

This man is absolutly a GENIUS.
I am in AWE with what he has accomplished artistically, and not only in fashion.

Now, let's see... he was there to do a photo shoot for the next Chanel ad campaign, so, yeah. Must all be unecessary stuff, not photo equipment, sketches of ideas, or anything to do with working on the actual job he was there doing.
Maybe it's not even all "his" luggage, per se, but Chanel business related stuff that he has to bring, or even things for other projects he is working on.
Maybe even stuff for working out ideas for the Pirelli calendar he's about to shoot next.
What is it about Karl that makes some people unable to use a brain cell or two, hmm?
Either way, I guess the attention is good for him and for Chanel, Fendi, etc, so go ahead and be dumb, I guess!
