Diane Sawyer remembered one of her former ABC News colleagues, legendary "World News" anchor Peter Jennings, Monday night.
Monday was the five-year anniversary of when Jennings announced that he had lung cancer and would be stepping down from the program. Jennings would die four months later.
Since then, Sawyer reports, lung cancer death rates are falling, and that the smoking rate among young Americans is at its lowest.
"Knowing our captain and colleague, Peter probably would have said, 'That's good, now do more,'" Sawyer said.
