I've watched some of Housewives of New York and this doesn't surprise me one bit. I would've never guessed it on my own but if someone asked me to pick the housewife that drank while pregnant I would've gone for her.

Doesn't seem like such a big deal to me. What is surprising to me, is that I expected to see a lot of Alex-bashing on this thread. I mean, if someone decides not to breastfeed, everyone acts like she's the worst mother on the whole planet. But drinking during pregnancy is ok for the same folks?

I don't see what the big deal is. It doesn't sound like she was downing a bottle of vodka every night - there will always be controversy on whether one drink through the entire pregnancy is too much vs. a glass of wine every other night.

And as far as she and her hubby being social more than others deem appropriate, I'm betting their still better parents than some. All parents are going to screw up their children one way or the other. At least their not tying them to their beds at night or physically abusing them.

My mother was home every night. She never drank or did any drugs. But she wasn't the nicest and that didn't make for a pleasant childhood.

both of her kids need a good spanking, they both lack discipline. Simon is not daddy material; he's too busy trying to be one of the girls, these bad kids need a father figure not a metro sexual fashionista for a dad.
