VJ Movement has an interview with Pavel Sheremet, a Russian television journalist who has left the industry and written a book about censorship and press freedom in Russia.
Sheremet's book is a message to the young journalists of Russia, asking them to consider how the weakness of the Russian media points to a wider problem.
"Without free media, without free social institutions, Russia will never rise from his knees," he says "and it will remain a barbaric country that will jump from fire to fire, from revolution to war, from war back to revolution."
