Cheerleaders Poured URINE In Teammates' Drinks

Cheerleaders Urine Drinks

First Posted: 06/09/10 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 05:05 PM ET

A group of Texas cheerleaders is in hot water after mixing a hot fluid in their teammates' beverages. The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that several Saginaw girls poured urine into fellow cheerleaders' soda.

When the victims mentioned an abnormal flavor in their drinks, the alleged pee providers said that they had added tart candy to the concoction. Before long, however, word spread that urine was the real source of the unpleasant taste.

Aghast parents want the offenders permanently kicked off the squad, and the AP reports that the girls have been suspended. While they will not be allowed to participate until the end of the current term, many feel that the school should go further. "They shouldn't be allowed to represent Saginaw," one father told the Star-Telegram.

why aren't they arrested? this is an illegal act - assault!

Simply solution:

Have those that had to drink urine, urinate into the mouths of the cheerleaders.

That will never happen, but an eye for eye would be appropriate in this case.

I'm sure there are a million instructional videos on just this topic, available online.

In "'Tis", Frank McCourt recalled a funny incident when he was working in a hotel: he and the Puerto Ricans peed into a drink that was going to get served to an English royal.

My son and daughter are students at Saginaw HS. I am disgusted with this situation. As a parent, I have had to advocate for my daughter when she has been bullied by some kids there (mostly boys). The principal is too intimdated by take charge and do what is just. I hope the cheerleaders are permanently suspended. They knew their actions were wrong, but were betting on their status as cheerleaders to get them off. So far, it looks as though they will get their way. I will be glad when my kids graduate next year. The students who have been victims of this "prank" and their parents are the ones who will be shunned if they pursue legal action.

Sadly, these girls have no future careers....

Just like someone altering aspirin in the bottles, tampering with a product approved by the FDA could be viewed as a Felony. If more than one knew, it's conspiracy to commit a felony. In addition to the cruel girls and their light punishment that many are upset about, there is a long history of the school doing a great of keeping things out of the press...a few weeks earlier, a student was beaten so badly in the bathroom, he needed an ambulance for hospitalization. Also a school bus driver made a student with MS get off the bus and walk 2 miles to school before Police picked him up. In addition, how pathetic is it when parents scream at injustice and refuse to do anything...Poor useless humans that for some reason keep breeding more offspring for generations. New touchy feely laws and rules now make it impossible to enforce any discipline policy or rules.

If I were Principal, I would also use the situation to remove all sodas from school and instead get nutritious beverages. At least show that some good can become of this incident. Certainly, anger management classes paid for the parents and movement to another HS is a minimum. If there was a girl who unknowingly was duped into serving the drinks, get her to spill the beans in court and none of the victims need to testify. Extracurricular activities are a privilege and not a right.

Wonderful. You would take a serious disciplinary issue and turn it into an excuse to carry out a jihad against sodas. If the beverage had been milk would you be trying to ban milk form campus, too?

I'm not sure what your first paragraph has to do with the story, other than turning it into a platform to talk about completely different issues. If it is indeed a felony to tamper as such with an FDA-approved product, there is absolutely no reason to charge high school girls who were simple pranksters at best, assailants at worst, with a charge so serious. Would you have someone who switches salt and pepper in shakers charged with the same crime?

Also, how would removing sodas in the school do anything for this situation? The same could be done with any healthy drink, or even water if it were in an opaque container, such as a Styrofoam or plastic cup. Anger management and your mention of the privileges of extracurriculars also have nothing to do with anything. You are once again twisting the story into a soapbox for inane commentary.

Funny, but I wonder if it's possible, as bad as urine is, can it be better for the victims than having Coke itself? Very cruel and mean spirited. I'm sure the school will expel the students and turn over the information to police for prosecution. I'm also petty sure this violate Federal heal standards. Having a criminal certainly affects any scholarship or college opportunities, let a lone employment... Nobody looks kindly at cruelty except criminals or those wanted to punish them.

At a minimum, these girls should be permanently barred from the cheerleading squad. They deserve to be expelled from school and sent to an alternative campus. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable.

I guess nobody ever gladly accepted a poured beer at a rugby party?

They didn't pour urine into the soda, they pissed into the soda.

I would think criminal charges could be filed.

Only in Texas could a cheerleader shout "Give me a P" and have someone take it literally.

This must not be done. Nobody should have to be paranoid about this. Reading this story makes me paranoid that some jealous upstart, or some "angstivist" might attempt to tamper with my food or drink.

I'm going to be wary about this in the future. People who prepare food and drink should be decent, and if they are not, it's a very bad thing to do to others, creating distrust and anxiety.
