Jim Carrey: Ben Roethlisberger Sexually Assaulted Me

Jim Carrey appears to be making a habit of offering helpful sports commentary. Just days after saying that Tiger Woods' wife was a "willing participant" in her husband's infidelity, the actor has weighed in on the problems facing Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

In a series of tweets on Sunday, Carrey wrote that he needed to tone down his future tweets -- before (hopefully) joking that Big Ben sexually assaulted him:

My people called and said I might have to tame my tweets a little. So here goes...I'm going to make a sandwich now. peanut butter.(sigh) ;^\

Well, I ate my inoffensive sandwich with an acceptable glass of milk and took the dogs out, while avoiding any controversial thought--->

...then I was sexually assaulted by Ben Roethlisberger! I can't be certain but it sure looked like him! Good thing I'm a Steelers fan! ;^B

In early March Roethlisberger was accused of sexual assault for the second time in less than a year. A Georgia district attorney is expected to announce whether he will file charges later today.

Let's hope that Jim Carrey gets the help he needs. Like many others in
the entertainment profession...not all - they are in such need of

So would Jim think this was so funny if one of the girls this big jerk brutalized was someone he cared about? I have never though Jim was funny. I found his humor base, and juvenile, but I figured he did it for $$, so be it. But now he shows his stupidity for free on Twitter?

I like Jim Carrey too, I kinda was left expecting more. I wanted to see a more robust performance, maybe delve into more of the potty humor.

Jim, If you want to be UN-Funny you should go write a script for Cable Guy 2....For now, take a rest, perhaps get back with Jenny and STOP TWEETING. Then come back in about two years with a really good movie, something comedy drama..start a slow transition to drama if you like ..just don't hit people over the head with it..look to Ben Stiller, who just had success with a film that combined both...

I actually find this hilarious (not what Roethlisberger did, but Jim Carrey's latest tweets).

The guy is basically exposing why this is a dumb idea and format in the first place. For the better part of a year people have been falling all over themselves to worship at the altar of Twitter and all these supposedly "controversial" tweets, mainly by celebrities.

Now Jim Carrey starts actually posting controversial tweets that address relevant topics and everyone is flipping out. Hilarious. Demonstrates people's hypocrisy in the first place.

They all loved how controversial and cutting-edge Twitter (which was somehow, according to everyone, revolutionizing the way we communicated) until Carrey, who does have a sense of humor and knows how to really be controversial, shows them the whole thing is a crock.

Stay on Twitter, Jim.
