Princeton Prof Critiques Ke$ha

Ke$ha's not known for her poetic stylings, but that doesn't stop Princeton professor and Pulitzer Prize-winner Paul Muldoon from doing a deep reading of her song "Tik Tok" for the Princeton Tiger.

Will Ke$ha's use of onomatopoeia soon show up in Muldoon's work? "I've tried to be trashy," Muldoon says. ""I'm not sure if i have [succeeded]."

These guys bored me and I quit watching less than halfway.
I actually had never heard Kesha until I watched SNL last night. I was stunned at her awfulness.

I really hope this was supposed to be dead pan humor, because Kesha is, undeniably, the worst thing to happen to music (or lack of music, I should say), well, ever.

"I've tried to be trashy"
"Have you succeeded?"

Now this is hilarious! I hope they get a tv show, well worth it.

Pity this poor Prof. One needn't wonder why higher education is not taken seriously anymore.

Too bad they don't pay their professors enough to get a good haircut. Or a good suit, for that matter.

The best comment?

"That's all the time we have for today."

I kind of expected that to be funny or at least interesting. Don't they have any microphones at Princeton?

I don't understand why people seem to take the Ke$ha character seriously. Kesha was originally a country singer. She had a demo that had her singing country music and she improvised a mini rap song at the end as a joke. She had recorded an entire pop album of her singing but none of the songs were real radio friendly so they had her do a rap like she did on her demo to improve one of her songs. The producers liked it so much they went back and created Tik Toc and re-recorded some of the other songs with her rapping. The whole persona is a complete fabrication.

She has written or co-written all of her songs and has even helped write a few songs recorded by other pop singers. She is not the Ke$ha character.

We are all mimics, so I suppose the fear is that many young ladies will mimic the behavior of the Ke$sha's character. Personally, I am glad for her example. I can tell my daughter that this is not how to behave, and why.

translation: Ke$ha is a total joke.

Wow. This is Ivy League kids being funny? That video was about as entertaining as Roseanne Barr dry humping my thumb.

Actually, that would be funny.

It oozes with pretentiousness. Thus, it is relevant to my interests.
