Princess Letizia Returns To Her News Reporting Roots On Monday (PHOTOS, VIDEOS)

Before she became Letizia, Princess of Asturias, she was known as Letizia Ortiz, a television news reporter who hosted Spain's daily Telediario and Telediario 2. She reported from Washington, DC on the 2000 presidential elections and in 2001 reported live on the September 11th attacks from Ground Zero in New York. She also filed reports from Iraq in 2003. She married Prince Felipe in 2004.

On Monday Princess Letizia and Prince Felipe visited 'Cadena Ser,' Spain's principal news radio station based in Madrid. The trip might have made Letizia a little nostalgic for her former newscaster life. See photos from Monday and vintage footage of Letizia Ortiz below.

I should think that stories about "Royalty" would have no place in American society. If anything she should be denounced. That said, she is rather attractive so I understand why we are seeing her in the news. Too bad some story regarding real news gets bumped from coverage for it

Because she is unarguably the most stunning princess in the world, she's gorgeous and stylish. Unlike the British Royal Family who looked very pale and unattractive at all.

In fact all the meditrennean royal household, The Bourbons and their fellow catholic brethrens, Grimaldis are stylish, elegant and beautiful.

This is an honest view from an asian guy who alwyas think meditrenean and latin american girls are beautiful.

The Daily Letizia column...she's goo at what she used to do, the style is different from the one used in the US but that's cultural differences. Always a good way to lighten up, she's one of the nice social newsmakers on HuffPo.

I don't like this outfit...kinda looks sloppy. Still, from the pictures that I've seen of this event, she looked very happy and animated. She must have been very excited to attend an event related to journalism, which was her passion since she was young.

Yes, I think it's cute that even in such a little detail as a matching tie for Felipe, you can see that they are working as a team and as a couple. The King of Spain would sometimes match his tie to Queen Sofia's outfit as well.
