Dorothy Brown's 'Jeans Day' Being Investigated By County

Chicago Sun-Times:

Cook County Circuit Court Clerk Dorothy Brown may have scrapped her controversial "Jeans Day" fund-raisers, but the county's inspector general is confirming for the first time that he has launched a probe of the program.

The inspector general issued a report listing ongoing investigations, including an allegation of "violation of policy through inappropriate behavior and a review of the practice of collecting funds from employees for charity purposes unrelated to county operations."
