Tiger Woods Speaks Out: 'I'm Not Perfect'

Tiger Woods posted a somewhat lengthy entry on his personal web site today in which he reflected on his return to competitive golf and and discussed his professional future. Woods said it "felt great" to get back on the course, and thanked the "absolutely incredible" fans at Augusta for their "warmth" and support.

Woods reiterated his apology for the only controversy he generated at the Masters, a bitter outburst in which he shouted "you suck" at himself. "I'm not perfect," he wrote on his web site. "All I can say is I'm trying to do everything I can without losing my fire and competitive spirit."

Tiger said he "took a little time off after the Masters to go scuba diving and spend time with my family," but it's unclear which family members he is referring to. His wife, Elin Nordegren (PHOTOS), is reportedly in Sweden with their kids and a source has said a divorce of the couple is "100 percent happening."

Woods also congratulated Mickelson for his Masters victory and commented on the abrupt retirement of Lorena Ochoa, the top-ranked golfer in women's golf.
