Rod Blagojevich's "Celebrity Apprentice" days may be over, but after learning that fellow contestant Bret Michaels suffered a massive brain hemorrhage Thursday, Blago said he is praying for the Poison frontman's recovery.
"I got to know Bret Michaels while I was a contestant on 'Celebrity Apprentice.' I really liked him," Blagojevich wrote, according to the Daily Herald. "He is a very genuine guy who worked hard and I learned how truly committed he is to fighting juvenile diabetes--the same cause he competed to raise money for on the show. My prayers are with Bret and for his full and speedy recovery."
Michaels and Blagojevich got along quite well on Donald Trump's reality show. Even when Blagojevich was "fired" by Trump, he said he would not vote Michaels off the show even if it would keep him there.
"I was not gonna sell out Bret," he said.
"He was a very nice guy," Michaels said of Blagojevich. "He had a lot of energy. He's obviously going through an extremely tough situation."
Michaels remained in intensive care at a Los Angeles hospital Monday.
