Giorgio Armani's Armani Hotel Dubai opened in the Burj Khalifa tower today. Armani said, "Yesterday when I arrived and saw the hotel, I felt really emotional. After five years of working on this project, I finally saw how it all came to life. Working with me is not always easy, I think everyone here would agree because my standards are very high."

The hotel--situated on floors concourse to 8, 38 and 39--contains 160 rooms, a spa and stores, and eight restaurants. The Telegraph UK has the menu:

Armani Peck, inspired by the famous Milanese deli; Amal, which features Indian delights; Ristorante, for traditional dishes from Tuscany and other regions; and Armani Privé, the VIP lounge, open from 9pm until 3am, and named for the design maestro's Armani Privé couture collection, which he shows in Paris every January and July.

There are also 144 Armani Residences on floors 9 to 16.
