Stephen Colbert worked up his audience with a "Drill, baby, drill!" chant Wednesday night by way of introduction to the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
"You heard us," Colbert said. "We are not backing down ... despite the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico."
Colbert opts to look on the bright side of the ugly mess. The spill is roughly the size of Rhode Island, but Rhode Island is the smallest state, he points out. And just think of the culinary options!
"Who else feels like some blackened catfish?" Colbert asks. "Laissez les bon thon flambe'! (Let the good tuna broil!)"
