Tennessee Flooding PHOTOS: Cumberland River, Downtown Nashville Flooding (PICTURES)

First Posted: 7/3/10   Updated: 5/25/11

Tennessee flooding photos are capturing the impact of a series of storms slamming Downtown Nashville and the Cumberland River.

The historic flooding has killed at least 21 in Tennessee, Mississippi and Kentucky, with Tennessee being hardest hit.

Nashville Mayor Karl Dean said of the developments: "It's shocking to see it this way, but it was an incredible storm."

The AP reports that the Cumberland River was expected to crest this afternoon at 11 feet above flood stage, and officials worry they may find more bodies in the rising floodwaters.
