Vanity Fair World Cup: Cristiano Ronaldo & Didier Drogba STRIP (PICTURES)

The 2010 World Cup is just more than a month away, and Vanity Fair is getting in the soccer spirit by showcasing the bodies of some of the sport's biggest stars. The Ivory Coast's Didier Drogba and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo strip down on the magazine's cover, and more prominent players show their skin inside the issue.

It is not the first time that Ronaldo -- who has reportedly expressed interest in a topless model -- has been photographed while barely clothed.

In addition to Drogba and Ronaldo, Annie Leibovitz photographed players including Brazil's Kaka and Landon Donovan of the U.S.

By the way... I noticed that in the poll almost 84% of the voters said this picture was hot (including me, because these men are BEAUTIFUL). Comparatively, a majority of people are disgusted with Venus Williams' French Open dress. I don't know if I'm just blind, but I think these soccer men are wearing a LOT LOT less than Venus is. And... I can also see a very distinct outline of their packages, whereas Venus is wearing looser short-undies that cover more of the legs and do not distinctively show her crotch.

I think there is a HUGE double standard here.

Difference is people want to see these men half naked (Ronaldo anyways) and Venus Williams who was by the way NOT in a magazine but in a match. Nobody complains when Maria Shaprova is prouncing around half nude. Its a beauty standard not a gender one. Besides whos complaning?

Congrats to Didier Drogba on complete the historic English Premier League Double this year! Winning the FA Cup and the Premier League title! Must be good momentum for him and Team Ivory Coast going in to the 2010 World Cup.

Unfortunately for the likes of Lionel Messi, Xavi, Wayne Rooney (this year, at least), Arjen Robben, Maicon, David Villa, David Silva and so forth, sometimes it's the most photogenic players that get the attention, not the best players. Guys like Becks are made for the camera, and their skill almost becomes secondary. That's unfortunate.

Drogba is definitely a player that deserves the accolades and attention, but I will contest Ronaldo on the basis of this year's and last year's performance and because he dives for most of his goals and gets them against lesser teams.

It also seems that midfielders and defenders get the short shrift. I suppose that's what happens because people look at the goals and look at the strikers and forget the buildup.

you shouldnt contest Ronaldo, except for Xavi and Messi, he's way better than those other guys you mentioned above sir, Xavi and Messi give him a run for his money, but Ronaldo definately deserves to be there, if you say otherwise than your a typical Ronaldo hater like everybody else.

beautiful picture and the best striker and best winger in the World. Unlike football guys here in the U.S who are over weight probably 300 to 400 hundred pounds, soccer(football) are very fix, good body and nice looking. I m going to South africa next month. traveling to Liberia and leave for south africa. it gonna to be crazy. on the road again
