Padma Lakshmi Holding Hands, Glowing After Baby (PHOTOS)

Motherhood clearly agrees with 'Top Chef' host Padma Lakshmi, who glowed in gold at the Met Costume Institute Gala Monday night.

Lakshmi gave birth to daughter Krishna (with ex Adam Dell) on February 20.

On the Met's red carpet she was holding hands with (although unidentified in the Getty photo caption) billionaire and close close friend Teddy Fortsmann.

She looks positively embarrassed to be photographed holding hands with Death Bed Billy in that photo. Are they an "item" or was she just enjoying time with a friend? She looks as if that is the last person on earth she wants to be seen in a photo with.

Don't love the dress, and of course we've seen better pictures of her, but she has what I call "Happy Face," so screw the dress. It's not often we get to see anyone look particularly joyful, or feel that way ourselves. Her Happy Face just reminded me of mine, so thanks, Padma, for being happy! Motherhood must indeed agree with her.

The wires of her under corset are showing, and her face does not glow. Maybe her beauty consultant was not available. She looks tired in my opinion. A beautiful woman never the less.

That scar, made her who she is. She overcame it, and the modeling world overcame it. She has modeled for top fashion houses, covered magazines and was a favorite of Helmut Newton.

I am not sure what you are "TheGuide" of, but it isn't fashion, modeling, or self respect. I would also like to point out that she is holding hands with a billionaire, while proudly displaying the scar you seem to be repulsed by, and not as a trophy wife or a bobble.

She is self-made and it appears that she, and the rest of the world are just fine with her and her scar. (and her obvious penchant for older men).

P.S. The dress is ill-fitting, although a nice color/fabric.

ARE you nuts.? She wears that scar proudly and does so because she is not ashamed of it...and most people admire her for understanding she is more than someone's idea of a pretty face in a tight dress. She looks tired as does any new mother, the dress is satin which does not wear well when one sits in it...I think a fab dress was the least of her worries. She has a healthy child and a person who loves her and whom she loves. I would say her life is just swell!
