Author Of Wall St. Class Warfare Email Responds, Calls Financial Reform 'A Lobotomy'

Last week, we passed along this angry email from a financial professional that was reportedly making the rounds on Wall Street.

According to FT Alphaville, the email, which targeted unions, teachers and the middle class, was originally posted on the blog Fill 'Em And Bill 'Em. (Note to readers, the blog has some pretty objectionable content.)

Now, the author, who claims to have worked at Goldman Sachs for 7 years, has apparently written in to FT Alphaville to defend the post -- which was originally written in September. The follow-up is perhaps angrier than the original post, and includes some shots at Obama and the Democratic leadership (the spelling errors are the author's):

The hundreds of thousands if not millions who make their living working in finance are every bit as American and "Main Street" as the rest of the country. The fact that the President and Democratic run Congress are now trying to demonize us only shows what depths they will reach in order to achieve their goals. Nothing is more dangerous to a Socialist agenda than the free thinking and industrial attitudes that perpetuate thoughout WallStreet and Capitalism. Finance reform is just a fancy name for the lobotomy that Obama and Barney Frank are about to give the country.

Toward the end of the post, the author moves into confessional mode:

There are a million things in my life that I have to live with that aren't ideal. All are direct consequences of my own mistakes and decisions...An ex-wife hell bent on making me pay forever for being a terrible husband. 2 dogs on their way out that I need to care for. 25 dollars in tolls. Ridiculous property taxes in the state of N.J. Missing my ex girlfriend who went back to her husband. Paying more taxes than your average union, state or city worker. No pension and at this point.. no 401k.

The author, referring to financial industry workers, concludes with a message to President Obama: "You will hear our votes and voices in 2010 and 2012, unless of course you kick us out before then. Branding an entire group of people liars and thieves is pretty funny coming from Washington."
