Elisabeth Hasselbeck CRIES, Apologizes To Erin Andrews (VIDEO)

Elisabeth Hasselbeck feels terrible for criticizing Erin Andrews' clothing on 'Dancing with the Stars' and suggesting she tempted her peeping Tom. After the show Tuesday night, Erin's costars defended her and Erin called Elisabeth's remarks "a slap in the face to victims of stalking and sexual predators."

Wednesday on 'The View,' Elisabeth issued a tearful apology to Erin. She said she had been watching 'Dancing' with her five-year-old daughter the night before when her daughter asked her why she looked so sad.

"I said, 'Well, Grace, today Mommy hurt someone's feelings,'" Elisabeth sobbed. She said she told her daughter "reckless words pierce someone's heart like a sword" and you should use words to build people up, not tear them down.

Grace asked her mom why she didn't just call Erin to say sorry, and Elisabeth said she took her daughter's advice. The tears on 'The View' were her public apology.

It was a very judgmental statement and while we all make them from time to time its good to see that when they catch up to us we can be humble and remorseful...now the true litmus test will be if she is careful of her remarks in the future...time will tell...

i have never thought she (hasselbeck) should be on the panel. She has been working at setting women's rights up to fail since she was given a seat at the View table. She chooses to have lots of kids....good for her. i guess i have to admit she has the right to have as many kids as she wants .... but it does NOT give her the right

As far as I can figure, she has blonde hair, white-stripped teeth, can read at a 7th grade level and had enough ambition to be on the teevee machine. Intellect and integrity don't seem to play a huge role in the medium.

Yes, Lizzy, you can say horribly insensitive, ignorant things willy-nilly, then apologize with tears and you'll get applause for being such a wonderful person. Life is grand for you, isn't it? This is, I'm sure Ms. Andrews will be fine, but what about those women and girls tuning into "The View" who've been stalked (or much worse) and hear you imply the gist of that age-old fable about how women get what they ask for when they dress a certain way? Any (crocodile) tears for them as well?

On the View's blogs several people mentioned her roots....you know how you don't notice something, and then someone points it out and that is all you see? Too funny...her roots are bad...anyone think she may be pregnant again? Thinking of Hasselbeck on maternity leave makes me happy.
