Lawrence Taylor RAPE Arrest: NFL Legend ARRESTED For Attacking Teenager

Lawrence Taylor has been arrested for rape, CBS 2 reports. Police, who say the victim is a 16-year-old runaway, accuse Taylor of third-degree rape and third-degree patronizing of a prostitute.

The New York Post reported earlier that Taylor, who is 51, and the teenager met through a pimp. LoHud.com reported that the rape charge "involves having intercourse with a minor."

A second man has been arrested in connection to the incident. Police have charged 36-year-old Rasheed Davis with false imprisonment, assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

A bottle of alcohol was found in the hotel where the incident allegedly occurred, but no drugs were discovered.

Taylor's third wife, Lynette Taylor, tells TMZ that the accusations are "all bulls--t" and a "setup." She says the timing of the accusation is peculiar, since it comes days after A&E aired a documentary featuring her husband.

Taylor was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident last November. He was arrested multiple times in the 1990s on drug charges and for failing to make child support payments.

Taylor was charged with 3rd degree rape; NY states version of statutory rape. No where has anyone other than the HuffPo headline writer accused Taylor of attacking a teenager.

Where in the article does it say that Taylor attacked her? I read Taylor admitted to paying for sex but the article said the pimp was charged with assault but the link says it was Taylor. Like you need to link bait an article about LT. Sad story nonetheless.

I think it is too early to make a judgment on this one. I must say that the defense seems pretty confident that their is no DNA evidence linking Taylor to this girl, so if that is the case, I believe he has a good chance to beat the charges, at which point Mr. Prosecutor might have some explaining to do.

Okay, first of all, Lawrence Taylor is a victim here.

Let's dispense with the misandrous persecution of a man for desiring and procuring sex and let's also remove the hypocritical issue of the legality of prostitution, because both gambling and prostitution are legal in the United States - JUST NOT EVERYWHERE.

But how can prostitution and gambling be perfectly legal and your legitimate right to enjoy them one state or in one part of a state, but drive 10 feet past the zoned area and suddenly you're a criminal and what you're doing is "illegal" and "wrong"?

Sheer hypocrisy.

That Puritannical/Victorian false moral prudishness and Prohibition mentality serves no one but those who profit from the systematic prosecution of those that engage in consensual behavior.

The one and only problem I have with this is that she was underaged, but even SHE ADMITS to having lied about her age.

So LT is really only guilty of purchasing sexual services in an area not zoned for that type of commerce. okay then - fine him like you would anyone conducting business in the wrong zone and send him home.

You can't hold him responsible for her lying. He's not a club bouncer and he'sot going to check the I.D. of a prostitute - like a prostitute would show a John her I.D. What, so he'll know where she lives and can stalk/kill her?

I understand your outrage. I feel the same way about same-sex marriage and homosexuals adopting children.

But until the Supreme Court overrides State sovereignity rights on specific actions, as it did with openly buying and selling people as slaves, segregation, and interracial marriage, States are allowed to make and enforce laws.

Excuse me while I light my spliff on this issue: Lord knows I need it for this one!

FIRST I feel bad for the victim and NOT so much for the accuser. While some of us my choose to chastise the victim and question her motives and poor judgment, the fact is, some people do not use commonsense wisely which both the victim and the accuser is guilty of. As a man, I have no regards for any one who gets involve with soliciting prostitutes, escort service especially if you already have a wife/girlfriend /fiancée.

Lawrence Taylor have a lone history of screwing-up and implementing poor judgment. As a matter of fact 14 Times, and this is only the ones that became public. Since 1998 LT has never gone 2 years straight without some type of run in with the law. Fortunately for him he has never serve any significant jail time if any at all.

When Big Ben got in trouble recently, I wish and hope none of it is true, I wish the same thing for LT. However, in LT case I compelled to ask, how many screw-ups you need before reality struck home for you to straighten up and fly right? I think this time the ball gets fumble on the 1 yard line and play time expire. His goose is cooked!

People seem the fail to realize that underage sex is a old concept with a new outrage. less than a hundred years ago a girl was consider marriage material once she started menstruating.

I don't see what he did other than solicitation and having very poor judgment. Was he supposed to ask for the birth certificate of a prostitute?

She lied and told him she was 19. Her pimp is the one who beat her. How bad is home that you run away for a life of prostitution?

The media overly sensationalized this story, but it's clearly not what they originally thought.
