Image Of Genitalia On Full Body Scanner Led To Assault, Police Say

TSA screener Rolando Negrin is facing assault charges in a case that involves the controversial, full body scanners being adopted in airports as part of increased security measures.

The images produced by the powerful x-ray scanners--detailed enough to show breast implants--have been compared to "virtual strip-searching."

Negrin reportedly passed through the screener during a training session on how to use the device, and the revealing x-ray image of him produced by the x-ray prompted teasing from coworkers, "who joked about the size of the man's genitalia," reports The Smoking Gun.

The Smoking Gun adds,

"The X-ray revealed that [Negrin] has a small penis and co-workers made fun of him on a daily basis," reported cops. Following his arrest, Negrin told police that he "could not take the jokes anymore and lost his mind.

Negrin allegedly confronted his colleague, Hugo Osorno, in a parking lot after work and assaulted him with a police baton while demanding an apology.

The best part of the story is now EVERYBODY knows he has a small one. On another note, of course the TSA agents made fun of him; they have a boring job and anything to lighten the mood is appreciated.

Small while flaccid is not always an accurate judgment. Trust me, I know. But regardless, this guys' coworkers were very 6th grade. If this screening is necessary (and I haven't made up my mind yet), employees should be held to high standards of discretion and professionalism. Or they should have an image of their genitalia on display for all passengers to see.

They should put that in writing... "No teasing of the passengers!" or maybe, depending on the findings, the machine could be set up to offer remedies, like enhancing creams, anti-sagging lotions, etc. And they could charge it automatically on the credit card that you had on you, as it was scanned, too.

I'm supposed to say 'he over-reacted', but that's bulls hit. If I were Rolando Negrin I'd have gone ballistic too - but then I'd go legal on their ases until all the supervisors in this management vacuum had tears streaming down their faces and expensive lawyers billing them for everything they own. What happened to Negrin is a horrific assault and those whose actions led to it should feel a tremendous amount of heat.

To post this on the Internet is victimizing the victim all over again. While he should not have used violence, the people make fun of him suck. As a woman I would be mortified if my co workers were talking about my vagina. As a man, penis size is a sensitive subject and I can't imagine the humiliation this man was suffering. Please try and remember we never know what another carries in their heart and what someone's trigger is. The actions of the co-workers were that of a bully mentality. I would further like to see this article removed from the Internet. This was sexual harassment and there is NEVER anything funny about it.

For future reference, fellas, let it be known up front. Like when you're joking around guy-like. Somebody says something about big ones, you say, "well that let's me out.... I'm hung like a canary. THat's why I date mostly petite women."

Better that than the scene from "the Unforgiven" where you have to cut a girl up.

To date neither the AG, the FBI, nor Homeland Security has confirmed that they did not intend for the Broadway Bomber to get on the plane. Reportedly the airline notified the authorities when he paid cash for his ticket. He could have been stopped at any security check point, however, it is possible that they wanted him to get on the plane to see if anyone else's might be implicated. Do you know if the Feds were already on the plane when he boarded?
